This is the complete version of Rose de Freycinet's Journal of her voyages around the world with her husband Louis-Claude. The full manuscript has never been published in its entirety, published versions have included letter s or been abridged.

Engraved chart of Australia, South Western Pacific and South East Asia, on thick paper, [670 x 970mm.] annotated by Louis de Saulces de Freycinet in pencil and red ink, with part of the missing South Australian coastline sketched in pencil, the course of the Swan River marked, the correct form of Cape Leeuwin drawn in, and with historical annotations of earlier Dutch voyages along the north-west Australian coast, with red ruled grid enclosing Australia each grid square numbered in pencil 1-112.
Purchased in September 2003 at auction from Christies, London. This is a printed chart with pencil and red ink annotations accredited to Louis-Claude de Freycinet. The chart is of interest due to the Swan River and Cape Leeuwin both being marked in. The chart was received in January 2004 and has been framed professionally for display and preservation.
