Dr Anthony Murphy

Anthony Murphy studied undergraduate medicine at Sheffield University. After migrating to Australia in 1976 he completed specialist training in 1983 at the Royal Women's Hospital Melbourne and sub-specialist training in diagnostic ultrasound in 1985. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Anthony has a private collection of antiquarian books, lithographs and maps focusing on the areas of natural history and European history, particularly the European exploration of Australia. Included I his map collection are works by Blaeu, Bowen, Du Val, Freycinet and Hondius; the collection also included lithographs by Le Sueur, Dale and Jacob Von Schley.
