Wayne Stewart Martin
LL.B (Hons.), LL.M, QC
Wayne Martin is a highly respected Queen's Counsel and active member of the Western Australian legal community.
Wayne obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Western Australia in 1973, and a Master of Laws at the University of London in 1975 before being admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1977. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1993.
In his 29 year career, Wayne has served in various roles, including serving as President of the WA Bar Association, President of the Aviation Law Association of Australia & New Zealand (WA branch), Founding Member and Convenor of the Administrative Law Committee for the Law Society of Western Australia, and Member and Convenor of the Law Council of Australia's Privacy Law Committee and Courts (Federal) Committees.
Most recently he was Chairman of the Professional Affairs Committee for the Legal Practice Board of WA, Chairman of the Law Reform Commission of WA, and a State and National Council Member of the Australian Lung Foundation.
Wayne was Counsel Assisting to the HIH Royal Commission and is currently President of the Administrative Review Council.
